DEVELOPMENT OF GEOTHERMAL TECHNOLOGY IN INDIA; CALL FOR PROPOSALS

This call for proposal is primarily for the development and demonstration type projects in the area of Geothermal Energy. Technology development being the prime focus, priority would be given to those proposals with active participation of the public and private sectors. 

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) will be considering multi-purpose geothermal energy projects for harnessing geothermal energy in the country so as to take up at least one such project in all the potential states or Climatic zones in India and provide financial support upto 30% of capital cost of power production. For GSHP’s the MNRE will support 30% of system cost.

Organizations interested in technology development and demonstrations are requested to submit their proposals in the areas of their expertise and interest.
