WHY WASTE "WASTES" WHEN "WASTES" CAN GENERATE WAGES: TOWARDS COMMERCIALIZATION OF INDIA’S FIRST LARGE SCALE BIO-GAS BOTTLING PLANT

Ashoka Biogreen Private Limited, an Indian private limited company is operating a large scale bio-gas bottling plant in Nasik (Maharashtra). The bio-gas generated from this plant has been tested to have the purity of 98.4% methane. The generation capacity of this plant is 500 cum per day and it operates on the basis of NISARGRUNA, the nomenclature of a technology developed by one of India’s premier institutes Bhava Atomic Research Centre or BARC. The upgraded biogas is used for power generation, cooking and industrial application. Further, when the plant generated slurry has been applied to nearby agro fields on a trial basis, results indicated an impressive 150% growth in agro-production and substantial quality improvement.

As a proud citizen of India, delighted to present this success story of an Indian company before the entire world http://mnre.gov.in/file-manager/UserFiles/success-story_first_Biogas_Bottling_Plant_towards_commercialization-in-India.pdf
